The team deeply rooted in the local community, leading this project, is committed to "sustainable tourism". But what does this term entail? Sustainable tourism is a balanced approach that seeks to harmonize economic development, human well-being, and environmental preservation. It emphasizes minimizing the adverse effects of tourism while amplifying its positive contributions to local communities, cultural heritage, ecosystems, and global environmental health. Carpinteria, with its unique attributes, is poised to become a model destination exemplifying this innovative approach to travel.

DESIGN

Our design philosophy at The Surfliner Hotel embraces the pursuit of reduced environmental impact, marrying energy-efficient architecture with state-of-the-art technology. Here, luxury is reimagined to be as eco-friendly as it is elegant. The Surfliner Hotel aims to offer more than just a place to stay; it represents a step towards a more sustainable future. Here, you'll find a unique blend of comfort and eco-consciousness, creating a stay that's both enjoyable and mindful of the environment.

COMMUNITY

Our approach to sustainable development is deeply rooted in fostering a strong sense of place, emphasizing the importance of community at every turn. By prioritizing accessibility for locals, we aim to create spaces that are not only environmentally friendly but also socially cohesive. We believe that the true essence of a project lies in its ability to mirror and resonate with the values, culture, and aspirations of its community members. This approach ensures the creation of not just buildings, but thriving, interconnected spaces that foster a sense of belonging and contribute to the overall vitality of the community, making it a harmonious and inclusive environment for all.

ONE PERCENT FOR CARP

The Surfliner proudly commits to donating one percent of its annual gross hotel room revenues to an independent non-profit organization based in Carpinteria. This initiative complements the substantial economic benefits that the city, as the landowner, will enjoy—projected to exceed $500,000 annually. Additionally, the presence of our guests in Carpinteria will generate ancillary revenues, further boosting the local economy.
